What Time is It?

It’s tax time! Yay for tax time! I don’t see why people grumble about this time of year. I love it because it means I get a lot of money back. Money that I will quickly transfer into a savings account. Thank you, Tax Refund Fairy.

This morning I was walking home from work and had a little moment. I’ll admit I was feeling tired and just generally down-spirited, and as I approached the intersection, the light changed red. For a moment, there was silence and I heard all these birds chirping around me. I didn’t even know it was time for birds to be returning from their winter vacations. About ten seconds later, the light changed and the sound of traffic once again drowned out the birds. But those few seconds were lovely.

  1. I don't mind tax time either. I feel a sense of accomplishment when I do my taxes. I don't know if we're getting anything back this year. We'll see.

  2. I have always — ALWAYS — every single year that I've done taxes, had to pay at least 50 and up to 400 some dollars.
I feel some comfort in the fact that I was stiffing the government up to that point, however. So it's not all bad. I guess.

What do you think?
