Is absolutely crazy at work. Our first sold out night of the year. Whoo. This is the first chance I’ve had to just sit and breathe.
I got two new cds today and I’m quite excited by them. Franz Ferdinand, “You Could Have it So Much Better” and Yeah Yeah Yeahs, “Fever to Tell”. Ah, music goodness. It’s been a while since I just went and bought a cd.
I went to Curves today for the first time in a while. I am renewing my resolve. It felt great. My intentions are to go every weekday (like I was doing before I moved to Chicago) but I don’t know if that will happen. Working third shift just makes everything weird. But I figure if I am up by 4, work out 4:30-5:15, then shower and am ready for the day by 6 (and all these times are PM, mind you) that would work.
The longer trailer for the Silent Hill movie looks terrifying. The game alone scared the crap out of me, I can only imagine what the movie will do. If you haven’t played the game, you should. Yes yes, it’s for PSOne. But trust me. When you have to go to that elementary school and little girls are running at you with knives, you’ll be thankful for the slightly sub-par graphics. Oh yes, you will.
I want to read Stephen King’s new book, “Cell.” There were two sample chapters in Entertainment Weekly and I read them. And they were good. It’s an interesting concept. Even if you aren’t a fan of Stephen King, you have to admit that he is quite innovative. He took things that people had never thought to be all that scary–an old car, a dog, a clown (okay, the clown is debatable)–and turned them into things that could kill you. Lovely.
