The Deadliest Mass Shooting in US History…

…until the next one.

The swiftness with which our society is declining is saddening.  And frightening.  What is wrong with people?  Twenty years ago this sort of action was unheard of.  People just didn’t do that.  I’d seriously like to know what goes through these people’s heads–I can’t fathom their reasoning.  I mean, let’s say someone is really depressed and kills themselves.  Okay, I can understand that.  Or their girlfriend cheated on them and in a fit of rage they kill her and then themselves.  As horrible as that is, I can still understand what was going on in their head.  But to randomly kill so many people?  I don’t understand that much hate.

I don’t know what to say.

  1. Not to trivialize this event by any means, but it wasn't the deadliest mass shooting in US history. I looked it up: it was the deadliest mass CAMPUS shooting in US history.
But I totally agree with you about it being inconceivable what was going through his head. They released his name and whatnot. They said he was a "disturbed" english major and his writings were so disturbing he was recommended to a counselor or something.

What do you think?
