Kitties

It’s been a while since I threw some of these on here. Please forgive Ashland’s blurriness.

Teri Does a Happy Dance

Okay, I posted before about being all sad about not being able to see Coldplay next month……WELL, they up and scheduled a second concert the night before the sold out one. WOO! Tickets go on sale this Saturday at 11am, and I shall be online with my credit card information at 10:59–ready to click my little heart out. WOO AGAIN!

Also, Paige and I have tickets to tomorrow’s NeedtoBreathe concert. And yes, I know I just saw them in February, but 1.) tickets were only ten bucks, 2.) they have such fun energy on stage, and 3.) one of the guys is too freakin’ adorable for words.

And then next week we’ve got some lawn seats for a Matisyahu concert! Yay music! Oh, and in case you’re like Matis-whatnow? Here’s a video!

Battery Life and Blog Posts

Perhaps I’m especially hard on iPods, but shouldn’t the battery last longer than 2 days? I listen to it a lot at work, I’ll admit, but I’m charging this thing every other day. I just don’t get it.

I want to post more often, but life just isn’t exciting. Yesterday’s highlight would have been when this guy, who was coming up the subway escalator as I was going down the stairs, turned around and started following me back down the stairs. I think he tried to say hello to me before he commenced with the following, but he was a mumbler and I was disinterested. Fortunately, I was able to get on a waiting train and escape him. But yeah, that’s not exactly riveting material for a blog post. Life, though better, is certainly duller sans the third shift hotel job.

Let’s see–what else is new?
**Tim isn’t moving to LA this fall, after all. He’s decided to wait another year and save more money. I think this is smart. And though I still don’t know if/when I’m leaving Chicago, it is definitely Buckle-Down Time.
**I’ll be in Dayton the first weekend of August for my cousins wedding. (Amber, sweetie, maybe we can grab some lunch?) Then hopefully will head down to South Carolina and spend my birthday with my family. Oh, speaking of which…
**My brother graduates from high school this month. Holy crap. He starts college (in S.C.) in the fall. I am so freakin’ old.

Lastly, here is a picture Cynthia took when she and Josh visited back in January. I think it’s adorable.

Spring

Ah, gotta love springtime in Chicago.

April is going to be an exciting month. Paige turns 21 (good Lord, FINALLY) on the 7th. And then the Seattle trip on the 18th. Good times.

My cousin is getting married on the same weekend as Lollapalooza. How rude. She had better appreciate my sacrifice in attending because, rumor has it, Radiohead will be headlining. RADIOHEAD. Hmm, maybe I can just send a gift in the mail… The rest of the lineup will be released mid-April. If they somehow managed to get R.E.M., Counting Crows, Coldplay, Alanis Morrisette, or The Cranberries, I cannot be held responsible for my actions.

Happiness

Yesterday and today have made me very happy, also making me realize just how unhappy I’ve been lately. Josh and Cynthia were in town Monday/Tuesday. I took Tuesday off work and we spent the day walking around downtown. That night we went to a bar and met up with some other people I hadn’t seen in a long time. For a couple hours, it was just like old times.

I came home to a voice mail from Marty of all people, and I called him back this morning and chatted for 15 minutes. It was so good to talk to him. We’ve decided we’re going out for drinks sometime. He ended the phone call by laughing and saying, "You have a damn good day, T-Bird!" Yay! I’ve missed that.

I love this picture.  It looks like it was taken seconds before they engaged in a full-blown fist fight.  Probably due to jealousy over the matching hats.

I keep getting hit from all sides about moving to California. I’ll admit that I’m considering it. (I’m sure the freakin’ cold temperatures aren’t helping me want to stay here.) The fact of the matter is my two best friends in Chicago both have careers that will eventually lead them out to the L.A. area. The thing keeping me here in Chicago is my job. But this moving business wouldn’t happen until the fall, so for now I’m going to wait and see how things go. Maybe I’ll get a better job. Maybe I’ll get fired. Maybe I’ll lose all my limbs in a freak accident and go on disability. Yep–wait and see.
