Obituaries

CD Player, a newer-model Panasonic, was officially pronounced dead last week.  The silver stereo had only been one year old at the time of its demise, the cause of which is yet to be determined by authorities.  Two area felines have been detained as possible suspects in the case, but no formal charges have been filed.

“I don’t understand how this could have happened,” distraught owner, Teri, was quoted in saying.  “One day it worked fine and now…”

Tim, the roommate of Teri, was recently released after thorough questioning about his own involvement.  “It was dead when I got there,” he stated.  “I took it apart to look for any visible problems inside, but there was just nothing I could do.  I did manage to save the cds inside though.”

The Panasonic is survived by a remote control and two matching speakers, and it was out of respect for the bereaved that this public announcement was held.

  1. It must be that time of year…a few weeks ago I had a silver CD player die. Of course, I'd had it for 7 1/2 years, but still! hope you find a new one that is almost as good as your panasonic was! (ahem RIP CD player)

What do you think?
